Our Story

Believing in God’s Word and Spirit

Youth Under His Glory, also known as YuhGlo, is an initiative that was laid on the hearts of college students who wanted to see a change in the way youth in the church connected with God. In February 2013, three of the people of who later became YuhGlo founders attended a youth conference in North Carolina that completely changed their lives and perspective on God. At the conference, the leaders were greatly inspired to see hundreds of young people sincerely and passionately worshiping the Lord, a sight that was rarely seen in their local churches. Upon their return from the conference, the three leaders decided to start ‘something’. During the first planning meeting, one of the leaders said a prayer asking God that “We would be youth under God’s glory.”
The words from that prayer then became the name of the organization: Youth Under His Glory, YuhGlo. The students who headed this initiative were Samuel Asante, Victor Atta-Dakwa, Doreen Acheampong and Jeffery Poku-Dankwah. On March 3rd 2013, YuhGlo held its first teleconference with over 60 students and young adults calling in from all over the DC Metropolitan Area. The conference line was a great success and it was evident that the Lord had begun a great work within us. Since 2013 YuhGlo has consistently held Bible conference, prayer revivals, summer camps, and multiple community outreaches. As believers who strive to live for the Lord, our desire has been to be used by the Lord to impact the youth of this current generation.
